Raised in Flemington Janet was the middle child.  She was an incredible athlete excelling in diving, basketball and skiing.  Janet played most any sport well and was game for everything.  Janet graduated from Marshall University with a double major in Science and Math and a minor in PE.  Upon graduation she became a teacher and basketball coach at Reading School where she taught math and science for ten plus years.  During that time she also volunteered with the Raritan Valley Watershed and other environmental causes.   Jaent became an avid skier which took her to New Hampshire.  There she graduated from Boston College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She worked with a government Robotics firm as a technical writer.  At 60 she moved to Virginia where she help with family caretaking. Janet  also bought a farm. In her final chapter there she raised chickens, got into gardening and canning and bought a horse.  She was never so content as on the farm. She was kind, gentle and loving. Janet you were a beloved sister, daughter, aunt and friend.

Janet was an amazing person who left her mark on the world. She taught school kids at Readington School, later on  was an engineer and in her final chapter she farmed in Virginia  where she also helped her family with care taking.  Janet loved nature and all the animals on her farm.  She was very athletic from her life-guarding days in Flemington to her skiing up in Vermont.  She was one of those “cool” Aunts and  a devoted sister and daughter.  I most remember our long chats at the Circle Diner in Flemington. Janet you are missed!
